There are roads throughout Judea and Samaria that used to be scenes of attacks on a daily basis: Stones thrown, Molotov cocktails, explosives, shooting, and other kinds of warfare.
Today, there are none.
For one simple reason: by the grace of G-d, between the road and the nearby Arab village, a Jewish hill has risen.
A few Hilltop Youth with a small herd of goats, a tent, and a lot of spirit, without even realizing it, are saving the lives of many, many Jews every day.
The attacks that the Arabs were carrying out on the road, today they direct toward those young men. Many Jews drive around these areas without knowing how much they owe them.
Some even have the audacity to speak badly of those teens because, in the media, they saw some Arab crying in a video that ‘the guys from the hilltops beat him up.’
For decades, wherever the IDF failed—with its hands tied and lacking the will to defeat the enemy—they set up ambushes against the terrorists, fired into the air, shot at their legs, and used all kinds of nonsense warning shots of one sort or another. It didn’t work.
There were even cases when the terrorists carrying out attacks on the highways were arrested; however, they were released within a few days, if not a few hours.
But the Hilltop Youth succeeded.
We admire those young men who bravely protect the country every day. The people of Israel will remember them for many years to come.
