Once a jewel of Binyamin with dozens of magnificent springs, pools, and lush landscapes rivaling Israel’s best nature sites, Wadi Zarqa (Nahal Netof) was surrendered under the Oslo Accords, becoming Area B and a de facto Arab autonomy. Hostile villages took over, turning it into a dangerous no-go zone for Jews marked by terror and exclusion.
Nearly 25 years later, following October 7, two settlement groups of pioneering Jews established outposts—Or Binyamin and Givat Tadhar—overcoming fierce terrorism and sieges. Their resolve has already shifted the balance: Attacks have waned, Jewish bathers are returning, and a historic reclamation is underway, restoring security, access, and Jewish presence to this Biblical paradise. This marks a profound turnaround in western Binyamin.
