Honenu Demands Freeze on Demolitions After Tractor Collapses Structure with Minors on Roof Near Ariel

Disturbing footage emerged Monday from the evacuation of the “Ura Yisrael” hilltop outpost near Ariel. Security forces demolished structures in a closed military zone near Salfit. During the operation, a Civil Administration tractor struck a residential building while several teenagers sat on its roof, causing them to fall as the structure collapsed.

The IDF said clashes erupted, with protesters setting tires on fire and blocking roads. Eighteen suspects were arrested.

In response, the Honenu organization issued urgent demands. Attorney Eladi Vizel of Honenu’s civil department wrote to Mahash, Israel’s Department for the Investigation of Police Officers calling for a criminal investigation and to the Central Command general demanding an immediate freeze on all demolitions in the area and the suspension of the force commander.

Vizel stated: “This is a shocking incident in which every red line was crossed. A tractor was used to collapse a building while minors stood on the roof and fell from the height of its collapse. This is blatant contempt for human life and a gross violation of the law and safety procedures.”
