Tal Yinon Dardik is still under arrest and back in jail!
Tal Yinon Dardik, a settler and farmer, was arrested in northern Israel last Thursday for allegedly violating an administrative order issued by Central Command Chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth. The order required him to sign in twice daily at a police station in Modiin Illit, a location with which he has no connection.
Hours after his arrest, police filed an indictment at the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court and requested his detention until the end of legal proceedings. Dardik, a father of four with no criminal record, and his attorney Nati Rom of the Honenu organization describe the order as draconian, abusive, and a form of harassment that restricts his freedom and separates him from his home and farm.
They criticize the ongoing use of such administrative measures against settlers without trial and call for an immediate end to this persecution, urging Dardik’s prompt release.
