Hundreds of brave volunteers from Judean hills and farms rushed to battle the devastating fire at Gilad Farm. Armed with blowers and beaters — many thanks to recent equipment supplied — they saved numerous homes. Without their rapid response, the damage would have been far worse.
Yet many stood helpless against the flames, lacking proper tools. The fire proved that current efforts are only a drop in the ocean.
To protect lives and property, more firefighting equipment must reach every hill and volunteer.
