In the past 48 hours, three incidents of destruction and herd confiscation have struck Israeli settlements under orders of IDF Brigadier General Kobi Heller (picture above).
Last night, forces violently raided a shepherds’ summer camp near the Sinjil Junction between the British Police Junction and Shiloh. Israel Border Police partially seized a herd, that had helped protect Road 60 from stone-throwing, under orders from the IDF; the rest was scattered with stun grenades and gas. After a three-hour search, the scattered animals were recovered.
Equipment, a vehicle, and a jeep were also confiscated. Residents reported continuous use of gas and stun grenades, claiming the closed-military-area order had been imposed only shortly beforehand, without proper notice.
Yesterday, forces destroyed a family home and a young men’s residence at Kochav Yehuda farm in Gush Etzion, again using pepper spray and stun grenades. The previous night, forces demolished another outpost near Beit El.
