Military Defiance: Maj. Gen. Bluth’s Harsh Order Against Dardik
Maj. Gen. Bluth has issued a severe four-month administrative order against Tal Yinon Dardik, after he was illegally imprisoned in the Russian Compound for 36 days. Bluth claims that he read information that shows Dardik to be a man “that endangers life and property” but for some unknown reason cannot bring evidence against him in a court of law. The Major General is requiring him to report twice daily to the Modi’in Illit police station for presence-signing. This effectively confines him to the station for much of each day, preventing work or any normal life, and bars him from Judea and Samaria.
The order directly defies the Defense Minister’s directive. Three courts have already rejected Bluth’s position, yet he persists. Critics call the move an unimaginable disgrace and military rebellion against civilian authority.
Commentator Elisha Yered further accuses journalists of whitewashing Bluth’s conduct. He highlights three key failures: forcing a person into another’s home without consent, issuing the order in open defiance of the Defense Minister, and treating an electronic monitoring device imposed without trial as legitimate. Many reporters, he says, simply repeat government propaganda instead of scrutinizing these abuses.
