An organization, “Looking the Occupation in the Eye,” aired a video portraying Jewish “settlers” as attacking Palestinians in Qusra/Kutzra. The IDF Spokesperson adopted that version, claiming Israeli rioters entered the village, threw stones, and barricaded themselves inside a Palestinian home while residents were inside.
But according to sources, the reality was different. Dozens of Arabs, accompanied by foreign media, allegedly placed stone barriers and burned tires around Tal Talpiyot Hill before masked, stone-throwing Arabs advanced toward the Jewish community.
Three residents on a security patrol encountered them and called for help. The Arabs barricaded themselves inside an abandoned structure and threw stones at the Jews, allegedly creating the appearance of a “siege.” Video reportedly shows Jews removing the stone barrier. Six Arab rioters were arrested. This was a premeditated media stunt—and the IDF fell for it.
