Tal Yinon Dardik returns to Temple Mount after release of 38 days of detention
After 38 days in prison, a court ruled on August 11 that the order against Tal Yinon Dardik was illegal and ordered his release. However, Major General Avi Bluth, who holds authority to impose house arrest or exile residents of Judea and Samaria, issued a new administrative order. It bars Dardik from all of Judea and Samaria, his farm, and the outpost he founded. He is currently prevented from returning home or to his farm without evidence or a trial.
The Dardik family is preparing to continue the fight against administrative orders and what they view as persecution of the settlement enterprise.
Shortly after his release, on the first day of the Hebrew month of Elul, Dardik ascended the Temple Mount. Worshippers greeted him with excitement and festive singing. Rabbi Elisha Wolfson, head of the Temple Mount yeshiva, blessed him, asking God to remove the judgments against him, grant him strength, and allow him to settle the Land with joy.
