Shin Bet chief Zini wants to do away with the judicial process.

Zini is threatening to request the power to throw Israeli Jewish citizens in jail without evidence and without trial for up to six month periods at a time, renewable indefinitely, as was done before Defense Minister Katz changed the policy on November 22, 2024.
MK Strook responded to Zini, “Palestinians attack shepherds, injure them and endanger their lives. You portray the Arabs as though they are sweetness itself, and only the settlers are problematic.”
